My intentions of this blog are to of course showcase my talents but also to encourage others to bake! I want to show people that you do not have to attend a culinary arts school (if you do, that is obviously great!) to be successful in the baking business. You do not need super expensive equipment or a large oven to get wonderful and professional looking results. I have been in this business for a few years and I have learned so much without taking one class! And I want to share with you what I have learned.

The Avenger's Cupcakes

I was soooooo beyond excited when I found out that the Avengers movie was coming out! And I was of course in the movie theater opening weekend checking it out. I loved it and was sooo excited that I decided to make some cupcakes in honor of the movie and here they are.
I hadn't had a chance to visit the craft store and get new materials (fondant) so I had to work with the colors that I had in my cabinet. I had some green, white, red, blue and yellow so I was able to make a cupcakes to represent the Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man (I'll do Thor, Natasha Romanoff and Hawkeye when I get more materials and post a pic later.
Well there is the Hulk's fist headed straight for your face...lol, Captain America's powerful shield and the charismatic Iron Man's mask. Again, I made these from fondant and used both circle fondant cutters (for the shield) and a sharp knife to carve Iron Man and the Hulk! Did you see the movie? What did you think about it? I am excited because I hear that there will be a sequel in 2014!
