My intentions of this blog are to of course showcase my talents but also to encourage others to bake! I want to show people that you do not have to attend a culinary arts school (if you do, that is obviously great!) to be successful in the baking business. You do not need super expensive equipment or a large oven to get wonderful and professional looking results. I have been in this business for a few years and I have learned so much without taking one class! And I want to share with you what I have learned.

Doc McStuffins Inspired COOKIES!

I am so excited for several different reasons! For one, I'm back and I mean that I am really back!! I've been gone for way too long but I have been busy as always and I have some awesome creations to share. I am really excited about my venture into cookies!dF%! I have loved these decorative cookie designs that have become very popular and have wanted to try some for quite a bit of time. And after months and months of research I tried them for the first time and they were not nearly as bad!

I absolutely love Pinterest and I scored a pretty awesome recipes for Sugar Cookies which you can check out as well. These cookies do not require any refridgeration and do not lose their shape during baking!! The icing part may present the most difficulty. Royal Icing can be very tricky especially in terms of consistency. I used Wilton's Royal Icing recipe but there are several out there that I am sure will work fine. The main ingredients are simply confectioners' sugar, meringue powder and water. As I said, consistency is definitely a major part of cookie making and the tips provided by LilaLoa were very helpful to me.

My daughter's 2nd birthday is coming up and I am doing a DocMcStuffins theme so I decided to work around that. Since it was my 1st time, I stuck with 3 simple colors and only tried out 2 consistencies. I baked at least 18 cookies but I only decorated (It was alot of work). And they turned out awesome. My daughter, husband and I have been eating them up!!
